Boating In Kent County Waters!

Do you enjoy the fresh air along the lakeside? Do you enjoy day trips along the rivers and seeing clear water sooth your emotions? Well that season is coming soon, it is the season of boating. Boating in our Kent County Parks will give you a thrilling experience along the many lakes and rivers that course through the county. Boating isn’t just motor boats; it involves kayaks and canoes as well. You can enjoy quality time with friends or family or simply on your own in the water. There are many different boating locations through Kent County Parks. Some examples are:

·      Long Lake Park

·      Millennium Park

·      Myers Lake Park

·      Wabasis Lake Park

·      White Pine Park

Depending on which park you choose, your adventures will be free, or for a small fee.

You can bring you own canoe kayak to these parks that give the opportunity to launch your own water craft such as;

·      Johnson Park has two boat launches for the Grand River.

·      Wabasis Lake Park has the only public boat launch on Wabasis lake.

·      Long Lake Park has a feature of a canoe launch!

All these exciting items are available for rent at the Devos Family boathouse. Also, boaters have access to lakes surrounding beaches and recreational areas. Who doesn’t like a trip out on the water, go out there and boat the day away!
